Oklahoma City, OK – Services held for slain pastor
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Nearly 500 people packed an Oklahoma City church to remember a pastor who was slain inside her small church in Anadarko as she prepared for a Sunday service.
Carol Daniels was found dead Aug. 23 after people coming for services notified police that the door to the church was locked. Police found her body inside. Authorities said she died of multiple sharp force injuries. No arrests have been made.
Owasso, OK – Owasso is the latest school district to report the H-1-N-1 virus. A sixth grader has been confirmed to have the flu. School officials say the student will remain home from school for a week. The youngster had apparently been to a birthday party over the weekend. They are monitoring other children who were at the same party.

McAlester, OK – McALESTER, Okla. (AP) A grand jury investigation will get under way in McAlester this week into alleged crimes by a convicted child rapist. The Pittsburg County grand jury was seated last week at the request of Attorney General Drew Edmondson's office. The panel was convened to look into allegations against 65-year-old convicted child rapist David Harold Eugene Earls.
Tulsa, OK – Last week, we told you about a congressional hearing that was held here in Tulsa dealing with the federal energy policy. It was hosted by Congresswoman Mary Fallin and chaired by Pennsylvania Democrat Jason Altmire. This morning, we hear from Tulsa's Congressman John Sullivan. He favors a revision of the nation's energy policy.
