Woman Killed after Walking onto Broken Arrow Road

Broken Arrow Police and Fire responded to the crash

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) — Broken Arrow police say a woman is dead after she was struck by a van after walking into the street.

Police say the collision happened at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on East Kenosha Street. Authorities say the woman walked onto the road and into the path of a van that was traveling east.

Authorities say the van's driver was not injured.

Broken Arrow police say the pedestrian was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead. The woman's name has not been released, pending notification of her family.
