Tulsa, Ok – Oklahoma braces for winter storm
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A winter storm is expected to bring freezing rain, heavy snow and frigid temperatures to Oklahoma this week.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for central and western Oklahoma from 6 p.m. Monday through 6 p.m. Tuesday and a winter storm warning for eastern Oklahoma from 6 p.m. Monday through 7 a.m. Wednesday.
The weather service says snow, light freezing rain and sleet are expected to begin in the Panhandle region Monday night and change to snow as the storm moves eastward across the state. The heaviest snowfall amounts are expected to be 10 to 13 inches in northeastern Oklahoma.
High temperatures Monday are expected to reach the 30s and 40s with highs Tuesday and Wednesday to reach the teens and 20s.
