Oklahoma City, OK – Winter storm warning in effect for SE Oklahoma
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Southern Oklahoma could bear the brunt of an approaching winter storm that's forecast to bring wintry precipitation and bitterly cold air to the region.
The National Weather Service has included McCurtain County in a winter storm warning for Sunday. Forecasters say four to eight inches of snow are possible.
Atoka, Bryan, Johnston, Love and Marshall counties are included in a winter weather advisory for the possibility of ice pellets and light snow, while rain and a wintry mixture are possible for the rest of the state.
The weather service says northern Oklahoma could get snow as another storm moves through Monday, but no watches or warnings have been posted yet.
Temperatures are forecast to bottom out in a range from around zero to the upper teens by Wednesday.
