Wild Fires in Western Oklahoma

Altus, OK – Fire continues to burn in western Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A fire that injured two firefighters in western Oklahoma continues to burn.

Altus Emergency Management Director Lloyd Colston said Saturday that firefighters were still battling the blaze that began near Blair about 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Jackson County Emergency Management director Jerry Gibson says two firefighters were injured but details of the injuries had not been released.

Evacuations were not ordered as a result of that fire and no damage to structures was reported.
