West Park Completion Celebrated

A ceremony is held today to celebrate the completion of West Park in the Kendall Whittier neighborhood. The project is part of a plan to revitalize the area just west of Tulsa University. It includes a mix of new residential and office uses, and improvements to the neighborhood park. One example of the new residents is Claire Theriot who is a pre-school teacher at the nearby EduCare Center. She and her three year old son have recently moved into a  new apartment just across the street from her work and the new park. The George Kaiser Family Foundation, Tulsa University, and Kendall Whittier Main Street organization are all involved in the revitalization effort.
