Mayor Bartlett issued an executive order today lifting Stage 1 Water Usage restrictions for City of Tulsa water customers. Tulsa water customers include residents in: Tulsa, Bixby, Catoosa, Glenpool, Jenks, Owasso and surrounding water districts.

Stage 1 Voluntary Restrictions were implemented on Tues., July 31 when the City of Tulsa used 198.09 MGD of water on Sun., July 29 and used 207.3 MGD on Mon., July 30, reaching the triggers set by ordinance with water usage deliverability reaching 94 percent for two consecutive days.

“We received great response from our water customers once voluntary restrictions were enacted two weeks ago,” Mayor Dewey Bartlett said. “Our plants have been running near 94 percent capacity, but with cooler temperatures and customers taking part in conserving, we have been able to bring our water usage level down dramatically.”

Bartlett added, “With voluntary restrictions lifted, we will closely monitor tank storage levels, water usage and weather conditions in case we need to implement voluntary restrictions again.”
