Verizon Brings Hundreds of New Jobs to Tulsa
New jobs for Tulsa. Verizon today announced it’s adding 500 positions at its’ facility in the Cherokee Industrial Park. Verizon Vice-President Michelle Robinson says the company reviewed several locations across the country before choosing Tulsa for the expansion.
She says Verizon already has a long-standing relationship with Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma, and that played into the decision. The expansion will allow the company to create a financial services hub here. Chamber of Commerce officials estimate the new jobs will have a 60-million dollar economic impact for the area.
