Tulsa, OK – Converting Tulsa's old city hall to a hotel gets a boost this week with final approval of the real estate deal expected. Councilors are expected to sign off on a resolution okaying the 1.2 million dollar contract with the same family that renovated the Mayo Hotel. City Economic Development Director Mike Bunney says closing will follow council action.
Councilors did bring up concerns about adequate parking, but Bunney says the new hotel will get 250 spaces and parking for the nearby courthouse and convention center shouldn't be affected.
