Tulsa, OK – Hearing for accused killer postponed
TULSA, Okla. (AP) A preliminary hearing for a man charged in the contract killing of a Tulsa businessman has been postponed.
Terrico Dion Bethel, 23, is charged with the first-degree murder of Neal Sweeney last September.
A district court official did not immediately know Friday morning when the rescheduled hearing would be.
In June, police said Bethel was hired to shoot Sweeney at his company, Retail Fuels Marketing, because of a business dispute over the sale of gasoline through Sweeney's company to other individuals.
Police have said the investigation is ongoing and that others could be charged.
Bethel had been in jail since Feb. 27 on unrelated charges of drug possession, possession of a loaded firearm and assaulting a police officer.
