Claremore, OK – Search on for missing 2-year-old at Oologah Lake
OOLOGAH, Okla. (AP) Authorities say more than 100 people are searching for a 2-year-old girl who has disappeared from a campground at Oologah Lake.
Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton says the girl was reported missing about 2 a.m. Monday from the Hawthorn Bluff campground.
Her name has not been released.
Walton says the girl's father and a sibling were fishing when the mother awoke to find the girl missing. The child was wearing only a diaper.
Walton says deputies, firefighters, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers and volunteers are searching on the ground and with an OHP helicopter.
