Tulsa, OK – The high fuel prices are taking a bite out of already tight school budgets. Tulsa Public Schools Transportation Director Ottaway Burkhaulter is pleased that a large portion of Tulsa's school buses have been converted to CNG.
He tells the OETA otherwise the budget crunch would be much worse. He says the savings are off-setting the fuel price hikes for the rest of the fleet.
The Tulsa School District has 140-buses using C-N-G.
