The Tulsa School Board goes on the record seeking the state to restore school funding. The board passed a resolution calling on the state legislature to quit slashing funding. Tulsa School superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard says the Tulsa district has lost over $23-million dollars in funding in the last three year.

“An import moment in the school board history,” said Tulsa School Board President Gary Percefull. The board approved a resolution seeking to have school funding restored to 2007-2008 state levels. School Board Member Anna America says the cuts have to stop. She says anyone who thinks they are trimming just luxuries has not been in a Tulsa classroom lately. The district will lose another 150 teaching positions this year.
