Tulsa Police Fatally Shoot a Shooting Suspect

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Tulsa police say officers shot and killed a man who reportedly confronted police with a shotgun early Thursday.

Authorities say police were trying to serve a warrant on 44-year-old Donald Hallett at about 1:45 a.m. Thursday when Hallett allegedly pointed the shotgun at officers and ran away.

Tulsa police say officers fired several shots and Hallett was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Hallett was wanted in last week's shooting of Lucas Knight at a Tulsa motel. Tulsa County prosecutors charged Hallett with shooting with intent to kill Tuesday.

Police say four officers were placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
