Tulsa Plane Crashes in Arkansas

OZARK, Ark. (AP) — A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman says a plane flying from Tulsa to Tunica, Mississippi crashed in western Arkansas — leaving two people with what authorities describe as minor injuries. Sergeant Brent Scott with the Franklin County sheriff's office says the pilot was taken to a hospital after the plane crashed about 3:30 p.m. Friday in a field near the Ozark airport in Franklin County. Scott says the one passenger in the four-passenger plane also had minor injuries — but was not hospitalized. FAA spokesman Lynn Lunsford said the aircraft apparently experienced engine failure on the flight from Tulsa to Tunica and crashed about one-quarter mile south of the airport. FAA records show the plane is registered to Tuttle & Associates in Tulsa.
