TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say a 52-year-old woman in the Tulsa Jail is dead after falling ill and being taken to a hospital.

Authorities say a guard saw Gwendolyn Young in distress Friday morning. She was treated by medical staff and taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 11 a.m.

The Tulsa World reports the State Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.

Young had been held without bond since October 16th on a 2011 charge of threatening a public official. Court documents show that young was accused of threatening a judge and a court clerk.
