Tulsa, OK – Okla. jail inmate dies

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says a female jail inmate has died.

Fifty-one-year-old Linda Henshaw of Sand Springs was pronounced dead at 5:48 a.m. Friday.

Sheriff's Sgt. Shannon Clark says Henshaw had a history of medical problems and was being held in the jail's medical unit. Henshaw says foul play wasn't a factor.

Clark says the jail's medical staff was tending to Henshaw and left her cell for a short time to check her medical records. When they returned, they found her unresponsive. Efforts to revive her weren't successful.

Clark said the state Medical Examiner's Office will determine a cause of death.

Henshaw was being held on drug-related complaints, including endeavoring to manufacture drugs.
