Tulsa Arrest Made in High Profile Murder Case

An arrest is made in the shooting death of a Tulsa teenager. 24-year-old Edwin Daniels has been arrested for the murder of 17-year-old Kayla Ferrante. She was on her way home from a date with her boy friend, when someone fired a shot at the car.

The bullet traveled through the car and struck her in the back. She was rushed to the hospital, but died later from her injuries. She had just graduated from Memorial High School one day earlier.

Daniels was originally arrested yesterday for a series of home invasion robberies, and investigators were able to develop information linking him to Ferrante's murder. Saying the investigation is on-going, police aren't commenting on how the crimes were linked or on a possible motive for the shooting.

Tulsa Police announced the arrest in a news conference this morning.
