Trucker Killed When Winds Flipped Semi

KWGS News File photo

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A truck driver is killed as the result of winds from severe thunderstorms in northeast Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 70-year-old Jimmy King of Ash Grove, Missouri was driving on the Will Rogers Turnpike near Afton Friday when straight-line winds flipped his semi onto a cement barrier wall and trapped him inside. Troopers say King was pinned in the wreckage for nearly three hours and died at the scene of massive injuries.
