By Associated Press

Oklahoma City – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The number of people killed in traffic accidents in Oklahoma this year is down by 133 from the same period one year ago.

The state Department of Public Safety said Tuesday that as of Monday there had been 364 fatalities on state roads in 2010. That compares to 497 on the same date in 2009.

Capt. Chris West says there were 55 people killed in traffic accidents during the month of July compared to 67 during July 2009.
