Owasso, OK – Oklahoma boy dies after being hit by truck

OWASSO, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a 4-year-old boy was killed when he was accidentally struck as his grandfather was backing out of a driveway in Owasso.

Troopers say Colby Goldstein suffered a massive head injury in the 9:26 a.m. accident on Monday and died as he was being driven to a hospital in a private vehicle.

The patrol identified the driver of the truck as Colby's grandfather, 63-year-old Stuart Goldstein of Silver City, N.M. Troopers say Stuart Goldstein was backing a pickup truck out of the driveway when he saw a trash cart behind the vehicle.

The patrol says as Stuart Goldstein was repositioning the truck to go around the trash cart, Colby ran into the path of the vehicle and was hit.
