Tulsa, OK –
ME: Man involved in crime spree shot by police

(Information in the following story is from: Tulsa World, http://www.tulsaworld.com)

TULSA, Okla. (AP) An Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office report concludes that a man involved in a crime spree didn't die by a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Officer Jason Willingham said Friday that since Billy Joe Hammons exchanged gunfire with police, investigators believe he was killed by a shot fired by officers. But he says the preliminary medical examiner's report didn't include enough details to determine who fired the fatal shot at Hammons.

Authorities say Hammons committed a home invasion and then took a person from that home to Tulsa, eventually going to a grocery store. After Hammons left the store he tried to hijack the car in which Sufeng He was driving, and killed He.
