Norman, OK – Cops: 2 bodies near car sought in kidnap, murder

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Police say two bodies have been found near a car that belongs to a man charged with killing his estranged wife and kidnapping her 7-year-old daughter. Officers fear one of the bodies may be that of the young girl.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said Monday a body believed to be that of a child was found at the scene off Oklahoma 9 near Lake Thunderbird in southeast Norman. Investigators say it is likely the other body is that of Lester Hobbs, who was accused of abducting the girl.

Hobbs was last seen with Aja Johnson on Jan. 23, and the girl's mother, Tonya Hobbs, was found dead in Hobbs' motor home the next day. Police launched a search for Hobbs and the girl after finding Tonya Hobbs' body.
