Students Learn Distracted Driving Lessons
Credit Catherine Roberts
Edison Senior Deshannon Netters texts as she drives the simulator course. Her run ended with hitting a cop.
AT&T lets Edison High School students try texting and driving in a safe environment: its texting and driving simulator.
Many students crashed the virtual car, and learned lessons about distracted driving.
Students volunteered to sign a pledge not to text and drive, and were given extra copies to take home to their parents.
One group of students came up with an anti-texting and driving jingle. Click above to take a listen to our story, and to the full jingle.
