OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Department of Public Safety says an 18-year veteran of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol has died of a sudden illness.
 
Public safety officials said Captain Rodrick Norwood died Saturday at an Oklahoma City area hospital.
 
The agency did not describe Norwood's illness.
 
Authorities say funeral arrangements are pending.
