State Inmate's Death to be Investigated

State of Oklahoma-File photo

McALESTER, Okla. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after an Oklahoma man charged in his parents' death was found dead in his jail cell.

Thirty-two-year-old Ross Holloway of Boley was found dead in his Okfuskee County jail cell early Friday morning.

The McAlester News-Capital reports Saturday he was charged last week in the death of his parents, Denver and Martha Holloway.

Denver and Martha Holloway are both natives of Oklahoma's Pittsburg County. A medical examiner's report says they died of multiple gunshot wounds.

OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Ross Holloway was alone in his jail cell and there were no signs of foul play. But the OSBI has not made a ruling on his cause of death.
