Skiatook Principal Suspended

Skiatook, OK – The principal at the Skiatook High School is suspended with pay. Principal Donna Brogan was served with a letter from the interim superintendent stating that her immediate suspension was necessary for the best interest of students.

The case involves cash handling and allowing a school counselor time-off without it being charged for the absence. Brogan has denied the allegations. She was named Oklahoma's Secondary Principal of the Year and was to attend an award banquet in Washington, D.C. later this month.

Parents packed the Skiatook School Board meeting last night, but got little information. Some parents claim the suspension is in retaliation to her opposition to the interim superintendent. Steve Williams took over the position after superintendent Gary Johnson was indicted by a Grand Jury for wasteful spending.
