Tulsa, Okla. – Tulsa police investigating 2 shootings

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Police in Tulsa are investigating two shootings that occurred just blocks apart on the city's north side one that left a man dead and the second the left a man critically wounded.

Investigators say they don't know if the shootings are related.

Officer Leland Ashley says officers investigating reports of a body in a field about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday found a man dead with apparent gunshot wounds. Ashley says residents reported hearing gunshots in the area about 3:30 a.m.

The dead man has not been identified.

The body was found about two blocks from where another man was found with a gunshot wound to the head about 11:30 p.m. Monday. Police say the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. His name has not been released.
