(Information in the following story is from: KJRH-TV, http://www.kjrh.com)

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) Police in Broken Arrow are investigating a shooting that came as the result of an alleged home invasion.

Two residents in the home told police that an adult male broke into the home and confronted the residents early Sunday morning.

Police say one of the residents got a pistol and shot the intruder twice, once in the left hand and once in a knee.

The suspect fled, but police found him about a block away. He was taken to a Tulsa hospital for injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.

Police say the intruder and the two people in the home knew each other.
