Little Rock, Ark. – Preliminary magnitude 4.7 earthquake in Arkansas

GREENBRIER, Ark. (AP) Three earthquakes have been recorded near Greenbrier in central Arkansas including one with a preliminary magnitude of 4.7 that was reported felt on four other states.

The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the 4.7 quake at 11 p.m. Sunday about four miles northeast of Greenbrier about 35 miles north of Little Rock. The survey also recorded in the same area a preliminary magnitude 3.8 quake 18 minutes later and a preliminary 3.6 magnitude quake was recorded at 2:46 a.m. Monday.

Greenbrier police dispatcher Jessica Bradford says no injuries or serious damage is reported.

Residents across Arkansas and in Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee and Mississippi reported on the U.S.G.S. website that they felt the 4.7 quake.
