Sex Offender Located

By AP

Oklahoma City, OK – Okla. man, missing teen found in south Texas

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Authorities say a registered sex offender and his 14-year-old niece have been found in South Texas.

Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown said 35-year-old Matthew Mallory and Ariel Mallory were found Tuesday evening near San Antonio in Bexar (Bear) County.

Brown says an OSBI agent and a pilot will fly to Texas to interview Matthew Mallory and the teen. She said she didn't know the circumstances that led to the pair's discovery.

The search shifted to Texas after officials reported finding Matthew Mallory's vehicle on Interstate 37 along the San Antonio River early Monday. Investigators believed Matthew Mallory and Ariel Mallory had been camping there, but abandoned the campsite.

A warrant was issued for his arrest for child abandonment of a child under 10.
