WEBBERS FALLS, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says a Memorial Day event will mark the 10-year anniversary of the collapse of the Interstate 40 bridge into the Arkansas River near Webbers Falls. The bridge collapsed May 26th, 2002, when a barge crashed into it. A total of 14 people were killed as their vehicles plunged into the river. The Memorial Day event will begin at 10 a.m. at a memorial to the 14 victims located behind the former City Hall in Webbers Falls.
