TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Forensic crews have resumed their search for a missing 14-year-old Florida girl who may be buried at or near a strip mall in Tulsa.

Police said the Oklahoma Archaeological Survey and crime scene investigators returned Monday morning to the spot near 61st Street and Mingo Road where they believe Ashani Creighton may be buried.

Florida authorities notified police in March that they had received tips that Ashani's body was at the mall. Her mother last saw her in Orlando on March 21, 1997.

No arrests have been made.

Authorities excavated inside a business and in the parking lot of the mall, but found no remains in March. Cadaver dogs indicated that remains may be in a nearby brush pile, which Cpl. Joe Campbell said officials planned to investigate some more.
