Oklahoma City, OK – Winter weather affecting travel in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Winter weather has been affecting travel in much of Oklahoma, with two fatal accidents occurring on icy roadways in as many days.

A 66-year-old Sapulpa woman died Sunday when her car went off an icy road and into a pond in Tulsa County. And on Monday, a 68-year-old Muskogee man died after his pickup lost control on a bridge and slid off Interstate 40 near Henryetta and hit a tree.

National Weather Service meteorologist Daryl Williams said temperatures were to plunge into the single digits in parts of Oklahoma by Tuesday morning.
