Rail Service from OKC to Tulsa to be Studied

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Three public meetings have been scheduled as part of a study into creating passenger rail service connecting Oklahoma City and Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation worked with the Federal Railroad Administration to start the Tulsa-Oklahoma City Passenger Rail Corridor Investment Plan to evaluate how passenger rail could improve inter-city connections between Oklahoma's two largest cities.

The public meetings will be August 13th at Tulsa Community College; August 14th at Stroud High School; and August 15th on the Metrotech Springlake Campus in Oklahoma City.
