Tulsa, OK – The Tulsa City Council gets its performance audit report of the Public Works Department. The report shows the department needs to better communicate its goals to the public and other city departments.
Judith Casio is with the management firm EMA, which conducted the audit. It was requested by the council after grand jury bribery indictments were handed down in January. She says the report shows the department is resistant to change.
Among other things, the report recommends using technology to keep better track of employees' work schedule. The council rejected an automated time and attendance system earlier this year.
