Tulsa, OK – PSO tanks low in customer satisfaction

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A new study indicates the electricity provider that serves the Tulsa area ranks near the bottom of southern mid-sized utilities for customer satisfaction.

The study was released Thursday by J.D. Power and Associates. American Electric Power-Public Service Co. of Oklahoma, which supplies electricity to eastern and southwestern Oklahoma, ranked 25 out of 27 utilities listed in J.D. Power's southern mid-sized segment.

The study reveals the local provider's index rating was 592, well below the segment average of 624.

South Carolina utility Santee Cooper ranked tops in its region with a 706 rating. Oklahoma Gas & Electric Co., which serves Oklahoma City and much of central Oklahoma, ranked sixth among J.D. Power's list of 14 larger southern providers.
