Prosecutors Want Tulsa Shooters Held Without Bond

UNDATED (AP) — Tulsa prosecutors want two men arrested in the weekend shooting of five people at a Hmong New Year's festival held without bond pending trial.

A document filed Tuesday in Tulsa district court says 21-year-old Boonmlee Lee and 19-year-old Meng Lee could be a threat to upcoming Hmong celebrations in Tulsa.

It also says Boonmlee Lee is believed to be connected to the Menace of Destruction gang out of California.

Prosecutors allege in the court filing that the shooters were targeting a local mediator who did not decide a dispute in favor of the defendants' family.

Both men are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 21. No attorney was listed for either of the men in jail records.
