Tulsa, OK – We could learn tomorrow (Thursday) the name of a new tenant at the old Pine and Peoria Albertson's store. The old store closed when Albertson's left Oklahoma in 2007, leaving the area without a name-brand supermarket.

The Tulsa Economic Development Corporation is ready to make a $2-million dollar loan available to the grocer who wants to reopen the store. The Tulsa City Council has agreed to back the loan.

We still do not know the name of the firm, but we are told it is well known. Sources say the store could reopen before the end of the year. The store is the anchor of a shopping center located at the northeast corner of Pine and North Peoria Avenue.
