Prisoners Released Early

By Denise Brewer

Grove, Oklahoma – For the 4th time in 2 years, Delaware County voters rejected a sales tax increase to expand the county jail.
Now inmates are being released and bonds are being lowered to reduce over crowding.
The current jail was built to house 62 inmates- but has about 70 prisoners right now.
The tax proposal would have added 100- beds to the jail.
