OU Nearing Purchase of Oklahoma City Research Park
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — University of Oklahoma officials say they are nearing an agreement with Presbyterian Health Foundation to buy a research park near the OU Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City.
OU said in a press release Friday that it plans to purchase the PHF Research Park, which includes more than 700,000 square feet of research lab and office space north of the state Capitol.
Terms of the sale were not disclosed.
OU President David Boren said in the statement that the OU Health Sciences Center will use the research park as a "springboard to further biomedical research."
OU Health Sciences Center Senior Vice Provost Dr. Dewayne Andrews says the park will continue to support biomedical research companies in their efforts to commercialize new equipment and technologies.
