OU Grant

By Associated Press

Norman, OK –

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) University of Oklahoma President David Boren says OU's Norman campus faculty has topped $100 million in grant funding for the just-completed fiscal year.

The $101.6 million in grants represents an increase of $28.7 million over the previous year, the largest single-year jump in the history of the Norman campus.

During a meeting of OU's regents on Tuesday, Boren praised OU's faculty for working "exceptionally hard" to achieve the record and says the grant money will benefit the state by "continuing to spur economic growth."

The regents also approved the planning for a fifth Research Partners building with private-sector partners for OU's Research Campus.
