Tulsa, OK – Sooners CB Franks enters NFL draft

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma cornerback Dominique Franks has changed his mind and decided to enter the NFL draft, forgoing his senior year.

Franks announced his decision Tuesday. He had said in December that he intended to play his senior season with the Sooners no matter what the NFL said about where he might land in the April draft.

Franks was selected to the All-Big 12 second team last season, when he recorded 47 tackles and two interceptions, including one that he returned for a touchdown. He was also the Sooners' No. 2 punt returner.

Sooners defensive tackle Gerald McCoy is also leaving early for the NFL draft.

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) James Anderson scored 26 points, Keiton Page added 20 points and Oklahoma State relied on its outside shooting to beat Coppin State 79-61 on Tuesday night without suspended forward Marshall Moses.

Moses watched the game from the Cowboys bench in a gray sweater after being charged earlier in the day with possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license. Moses, who was averaging a double-double, was arrested early Monday morning, and coach Travis Ford decided to make him sit out one game.

Without his presence inside, Oklahoma State (12-2) attempted a season-high 34 3-pointers and matched its season best by making 10. Page led the way with five 3-pointers, and Obi Muonelo made three while scoring 15 points.

Michael Harper led Coppin State (5-7) with 21 points.

COWBOYS-COLOMBO

Colombo back at practice, could play Saturday

IRVING, Texas (AP) Dallas Cowboys right tackle Marc Colombo practiced Tuesday and could be back in the lineup for the playoffs after missing the last seven games of the regular season with a broken left leg.

Coach Wade Phillips says it seems as if Colombo will be able to play Saturday night against Philadelphia.

Phillips said Colombo worked some with the first-team offense during practice. Colombo started 57 consecutive games before getting hurt and sustaining ligament damage in his ankle Nov. 15 at Green Bay.

Running back Tashard Choice, who sustained a concussion in Sunday's regular-season-ending 24-0 victory over Philadelphia, was held out of practice and instead worked on the side with a team trainer.

Safety Pat Watkins practiced after missing the past three games with a sprained left knee. Phillips isn't sure if he'll play.
