Oklahoma Panel to Consider Medicaid, Medicare Study
By AP
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — An Oklahoma Senate committee is set to consider a bill that calls for an investigation into the state's care of people who are eligible for both Medicaid and Medicare.
Porter Republican Sen. Kim David introduced the measure, which is scheduled to come up Wednesday in the Senate Committee on Appropriations hearing.
The proposal would set up a study by the Oklahoma Health Care Authority into the state's current care coordination to see if those models could be improved and costs could be contained while protecting the programs' aims.
The study would be submitted by December under the proposal.
