NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — A career fair for job seekers is being offered to military veterans, active-duty service members and their families.

The Oklahoma National Guard's Employment Coordination Program will host the career fair on Thursday evening at the Armed Forces Reserve Center in Norman.

More than 40 employers are registered to attend and will bring more than 200 open positions for job seekers. Registered companies include Devon Energy, Chesapeake Energy, Dell, Halliburton, ASCO, Oklahoma Roofing & Sheet Metal and many others.

Job seekers can register in advance on the program's website. Pre-registration will match a job seeker's skills with potential employers.

The National Guard program has networked with more than 200 organizations in Oklahoma and has been involved in more than 350 job placements.
