OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A bill that would allow Oklahoma breweries to serve free samples of beer is among 50 measures that Gov. Mary Fallin has signed into law.
Fallin on Monday signed dozens of bills dealing with topics like education requirements, health spas and compressed natural gas.
The brewery bill would allow the holder of a brewer license to serve free samples of beer to visitors 21 years of age and older. Samples would be limited to 12 ounces. Supporters of the measure argued it would be a tourism boost for the micro-brewery industry in Oklahoma. Some opponents maintained it could lead to increases in drunken driving.
Fallin also signed a bill Monday that would require political candidates to place their full legal name on their declarations of candidacy.
