Okla. Dept. of Ag. Funds Projects Across State

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is administering a program that offers grants and loans for qualified agriculture-related projects across the state.

The Agricultural Enhancement and Diversification Program helps fund the projects with zero percent interest loans and grants. Among the program's goals is to and encourage farm diversification.

The deadline for applications is Oct. 1. Funding sources include a farm diversification grant, a marketing and utilization loan, a cooperative marketing loan and the basic and applied research loan or grant.

Grant funds must be used to produce agriculture-related products and create rural economic development. Applicants must be 21 years old and be a current resident of Oklahoma. The application form and additional information about each loan can be found at the agency's website.
