Oh Snow! Not Again!

Tulsa, Ok – Storm brings heavy snow to Oklahoma

TULSA, Okla. (AP) The second winter storm to move across Oklahoma in a week has dumped more than a foot of snow in some areas of the state and the snow continues to fall.

Meteorologist Michael Lacy with the National Weather Service in Tulsa said about one foot of snow has been reported Wednesday morning in Bartlesville about 50 miles north of Tulsa. He said 9 inches had fallen just across the state line in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Lacy says strong winds are creating near blizzard conditions limiting visibility and making travel hazardous. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports slick and hazardous roads across the northern half of the state from the Panhandle to the Arkansas state line. No road closings were reported by the OHP or the Oklahoma Department of Transportation but officials are discouraging travel.
