Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's program we speak with filmmaker Justine Nagan, the producer/director of an engaging documentary from 2010 called "Typeface." This film offers a detailed profile of the dual arts of typography and graphic design as well as a discourse on smalltown life in post-industrial America. "Typeface" was scheduled to be screened this evening (Thursday the 20th) at the Philbrook Museum of Art --- at an event that was to include an appearance by Nagan --- but this event has been **cancelled** to due inclement weather. As we learn on today's show, Nagan is also the executive director of Kartemquin Films, an indie/non-profit film production company which is best known, perhaps, for 1994's "Hoop Dreams" --- and which is committed to creating films that address all manner of socio-cultural issues.
