SAPULPA, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a fire at a Sapulpa glass plant has been extinguished.
Sapulpa fire crews responded to the blaze at the Verallia North America glass plant at about 4:30 a.m. Monday. The plant is near Interstate 44 and Oklahoma Highway 66.
Officials tell Tulsa television station KJRH that a blown transformer started a fire outside the plant, but smoke soon filled the building.
Officials say between 40 and 50 employees were in the plant at the time but no one was injured.
Crews are on the scene to determine if any of the plant's equipment was damaged.
